Whether you're purchasing your first firearm or expanding your collection, Shamrock Defense provides a simple, compliant, and reliable experience from start to finish.
1. Purchase Your Firearm
Buy your firearm from an online retailer or private seller.
At checkout, select Shamrock Defense as your preferred FFL — or have the seller contact us directly for our license.
2. Send Us the Order Details
Once your order is placed, email us:
Your full name
Order number
Seller/website name
This helps us match your firearm when it arrives.
3. Firearm Shipment
The seller ships your firearm directly to Shamrock Defense (FFL holder) in compliance with federal law.
4. We Notify You
As soon as your firearm arrives and is logged into our system, we’ll contact you to schedule a pickup appointment.
5. Complete ATF Form 4473
At pickup, you’ll complete the required ATF Form 4473 and present:
Valid government-issued ID
Any required state documentation
6. Background Check (NICS)
We run your background check through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).
Approved: You take your firearm home the same day
Delayed: We’ll contact you once approved
Denied: Transfer cannot be completed
Valid government-issued ID
Any required state documentation
7. Pay Transfer Fee
Our standard transfer fee is:

8. Pick Up Your Firearm
Once approved, you’ll safely take possession of your firearm.
